Frequently asked questions

What happens to rows where the split column is blank?

They aren't dropped — every row with a blank value in that column is safely collected into its own sheet named "(blank)".

What if a value contains a character that isn't allowed in a sheet name?

Characters Excel doesn't allow in sheet names (/, \, ?, *, [, ], :) are automatically replaced with an underscore (_), so the file always opens cleanly.

Does my file really never get sent to a server?
